Halifax Make Amendments To Maximum Working Age

Halifax have announced changes to their maximum working age policy, effective from Monday 18/03.

Whilst many applications will still qualify for a maximum age of 75, subject to plausibility, the following scenarios will be capped at age 70:

• Remortgage with capital raising

• Purchase and remortgage applications that don't pass credit score threshold.

Surrey- Woking, Guildford, Camberley, Epsom, Esher, Dorking, Reigate

Hampshire- Basingstoke, Aldershot, Farnborough, Fleet, Alton

Berkshire- Reading, Wokingham, Windsor, Maidenhead, Sandhurst, Crowthorne

As a mortgage is secured against property, it could be repossessed if you do not maintain the mortgage payments.
